Privacy Policy

QuietMoney.org (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a suite of financial calculators designed to empower your financial decisions. Your privacy is paramount. This policy explains our data practices in compliance with CCPA, CPRA, and GDPR.

1. Data Minimization & Financial Safety

We operate on a principle of Data Minimization. Our financial tools are “Input-Only.”

  • No Bank Integration: We do not connect to your financial institutions.
  • No Sensitive PII: We do not store social security numbers or specific account identifiers.
  • Local Processing: Calculation data is processed in your browser session and is not saved to our permanent databases.

2. Cookies, Analytics & Affiliate Partners

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to analyze traffic and provide a sustainable business model.

Google Analytics (GA4)

We use Google Analytics to monitor site performance. This data is collected in an anonymous form to help us understand user behavior. In accordance with our lean data footprint, all user-level and event-level data is set to a 14-month retention period before automatic deletion.

Affiliate Tracking & Partners

We maintain an affiliate technology partnership with Impact.com to coordinate referrals. We also partner with various financial institutions and service providers (collectively, “Partners”) to provide relevant offers. When you click on a link to a Partner site, tracking technologies provided by Impact.com or our Partners may be used to coordinate the referral. This process does not involve sharing your specific calculator inputs or PII with the Partner.

4. International User Rights (GDPR)

For users in the European Union, we process data based on Legitimate Interest (improving our tools) and Consent (for tracking cookies). You have the right to access, rectify, or erase your data, and the right to data portability.

5. Data Retention

We retain non-identifiable analytics data for a period of 14 months. This allows us to perform year-over-year comparisons of site performance while ensuring we do not hold data longer than necessary for our business operations.
